One of our public sector clients is looking for an experienced Software Developer to join their team on a contract basis.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Python 3 and/or Java 17+
- PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- High performance computing and geometric methods relating to GIS.
- Modern DevOps and CI/CD practices including deployment pipelines and Jenkins.
- AWS including: CDK, Serverless (Lambda), S3, SQS, API Gateway, Cloudformation, Aurora / Postgres
- Collaborative working in a crossfunctional team
- Testing tools including test automation frameworks
- Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intellignece tools and processes including Grafana
Experience of the following would be a bonus:
- GeoServer
- Spring Boot microservices
- TypeScript
- JavaScript UI Frameworks, including react
This is a 12-month contract with possibe extensions. Mostly remote, but you may be required onsite in Edinburgh or Glasgow on the odd occasion. Day rate is outside ir35 circa £450.
